Dominican Republic

The Dominican Republic is a vibrant Caribbean nation known for having warm-hearted and relational people. The nation shares the island of Hispaniola with Haiti to the west, so they have experienced a significant influx of Haitian refugees and immigrants over the past two decades. The Dominican Republic is also known for its beaches, resorts, and beautiful terrain. This country has made huge strides over the last 15 years in its economic development, but unfortunately most of the people still live in extreme poverty, have limited access to medical care, and lack sufficient education.

Trips to the Dominican Republic have been our most popular mission trip options for many churches, schools, families, and youth groups. Our short-term teams have the incredible opportunity to work side by side with local Christians through construction projects, personal evangelism, and a variety of children’s ministry options. Dominican Republic teams serve both the Dominican peoples and Haitian immigrants.
