The culture of Thailand is a unique combination of traditional Asian customs mixed with progressive social ideologies. The Thai people are friendly, loyal, and very family-oriented. Thailand is also known for its food, tropical beaches, ancient ruins, ornate Buddhist temples, and opulent royal palaces. Tragically, Thailand is also one of the places in the world where human trafficking and sex slavery is most prevalent.

Bethany International currently has multiple long-term missionaries and global interns serving in the city of Chiang Mai. Our long-term workers engage in a variety of types of ministry throughout the city that your team can be a part of. Your group will have the opportunity to teach English to Thai students, serve in a variety of service projects, work with children who have special needs, serve in a Montessori school, participate in street evangelism, serve in an orphanage, and help to promote local church plants.
